I would like to take a look at Fredrik Pettersson in this tournament, he is destroying NLA and should be a lock for WC later.

Why are they still playing these tournaments? EHT was supposed to end, no?

Why on earth are Finland bringing Petrell? A guy like Kähkönen does way better than him in SHL, same goes for guys like Sallinen and Laine.

NLA - After already HC Davos won't let their two forwards Dick Axelsson and Marcus Paulsson play for Sweden at the Channel One Cup, now also HC Lugano stops their "duo infernale" Linus Klasen and Fredrik Pettersson.
Photo HC Lugano

Because there are games in the National League A scheduled just after the Channel One Cup (December 18 to 21), HC Lugano has put pressure on both Fredrik Pettersson (photo) and Linus Klasen to not suit up for Sweden. As a consequence, both have declined the invitation of Sweden's head coach Pär Mårts.

The 61-year-old is not amused about the situation: "It's really sad that they start to mess with us, too," he says to the Swedish news agency TT. Although he could force the players to join the national team, he decided against it: "If we act tough, it's just the players who get in trouble," MÃ¥rts says. "We talked to the Swiss federation and they put pressure on the clubs but it didn't help. We can just point out once more that it's not okay."

it is time to abandon EHT.

MÃ¥rts once again showing what a bad coach he is.

Replacing Ahnelöv (big, defence, physical) with Burström (small, soft, offence).

Aaltonen and Väänänen out, Wärn and Kivistö in.

So much for the huge benefit Jokerit playing in the KHL were supposed to bring for the Finnish national team...:shakehead

Classless behavior from the organization :shakehead It would be different if the players hadn't originally agreed to go, but refusing at this stage with no legit injuries is nothing but classless.

I'm already making a bold prediction that if Jokerit make it far in the playoffs (semifinal of final) there won't be any players from them in the WC team due to exhaustion.

Engqvist is injured, Thuresson will take his spot.

And Ullmark will train with the team.

This will make m4tt145 happy...

Ryno is in, Wandell is out.

As usual, many players left the squad.

Omark - Ryno - Möller
Rödin - Sjögren - Johnson
Ridderwall - Ullström - Thörnberg (Prag chemistry)
Ericsson - Lundqvist - Thuresson

Hersley - Kronwall
Junland - Rahimi
Gustavsson - Burström
