You forgot Malkin's extension has a 800K raise.
Editted just as you said that

Pominville. He'd be my #1 target.

Lundqvist, by any and all means necessary.
I really do see us signing Kulemin. I just can't imagine a guy who's scored 30 goals in the past is content to spend his career as a third liner playing some of the toughest minutes in the league. Unless his role in Toronto this year changes dramatically, I'd be shocked to see him re-sign in Toronto. And once he hits free agency, Pittsburgh would probably be a pretty ideal destination.
Out of all of the players overrated by our fanbase, Kulemin takes the cake. In his 5 seasons in the nhl, he has scored more than 16 goals once. He plays on the third line because he produces like a bottom 6 player. He is set to make $3 million this season. The pens are already playing 3rd line talent Dupuis way too much, we don't need another fringe top 6 player making $3 million. It's cute that he's from the same town as Malkin and played with him in the KHL. But unless he takes a discount, we can't afford to pay another idiot over $3 mil.
The Kings did. Doughty, Voynov, Muzzin, Martinez, and Ellerby.
I think having 3 big minute munchers like Letang, Martin, and Scuderi would ease the transition too.

Phil Kessel would be awesome. Maybe if Disco somehow manages to hold onto his job, he and Phil the Thrill will hit it off at the Olympics.
OR, we clean house and hire Brian Burke as our next GM. Then Kessel would be a done deal.
We do not need Phil Kessel. And, I doubt that Pittsburgh has the pieces to land him. Our top-six is fine. However, we need players that will provide scoring and grit on the third line.
By the end of 2013-14, it will become painfully obvious to EVERYBODY that Sidney Crosby needs more help. His wingers aren't getting younger, and now they're comfortable with retirement contracts.
Dan Bylsma is never going to break up the Kunitz, Crosby and Dupuis line (unless if he gets fired).
you're underestimating or totally ignoring the Dan Bylsma here. he won't go with three yougsters. they will sign a patch like Eaton and play him instead.
edit: the chance of getting Lundqvist is 0,1%. and even less at 7M$ per...
