No. Jackman, Backes and co will continue their dumb, penalty-a-poluza against the kings just like they always do. Stewart will be guaranteed to do something incredibly stupid as well

Defense was never really the problem for the Blues against the Kings.

The Blues are really small up front, the Kings man handle their forwards.

This is going to be a tough series. Both teams play hard and heavy and both teams will be fresh. I'm sure the rest of the West is thrilled one of these two teams will be out after Round 1.

Pretty confident, though that could also hurt us. Everyone is picking us to triumph, even a lot of Blues fans. Entering this year with the opposite expectations will be new territory for the Kings. The Blues are a tough team to play against. Won't be as easy as some make it out to be. Can't let up. GO KINGS!

It won't be easy, but of all the teams that made the playoffs, I'm glad we're facing the Blues.

Not to get too optimistic, but if we advance, there aren't a whole lot of scary teams out there for the Kings. While none of the teams are a cakewalk, I definitely feel good stacking up against just about any of them. The only two that concern me are Chicago and Detroit.

It won't be an easy road, but there is definitely a clear path to succeed before us if we perform up to the standard we've set since last year.

Not to get too optimistic, but if we advance to the seconds round we will be playing either the Canucks or Sharks. While none of these teams are a cakewalk, I definitely feel good stacking up against any of them. Much more so than Chicago or Detroit.

I think that's unlikely, Telos. Remember they reseed after each round.

Now, if the Kings actually do face the Canucks in the Conference Finals, I believe the Kings get home ice due to tie-breakers. Strange as that might be.

I posted this on the PGT as well, but it's well worth knowing...

Blues and Elliott shouldn't be taken lightly. Just look at Elliott's SV% and GA in the past 13 games. The guy has been phenomenal!!! One goal or less in 10 of 13 games.

Let's not get overconfident/cocky. Blues are a very tough team.

Hopefully Richards is better by then, he can't afford to loseweight due to illness, he's not a big guy

Darryl Sutter on Mike Richards: "He struggled before the game. He's been sick."

Yeah, I don't know what I was talking about. Main point being: I like the Kings against just about any team in the west other than Chicago. The opportunity is definitely there if we can find that spark again this season.

Praying to God that some lower seeded team beats Chicago before the Kings would have to face them if the Kings manage to go deep again. I just don't see any team beating them this year.
