Even with Ryan Miller in goal i can't see Buffalo making the playoffs with that offense.

New Jersey takes a step back without Parise an ancient Marty B and a cancer on the team acting up in Kovalchuk.

Tampa Bay bounces back in still have a dangerous PP with Stamkos St Louis & Vinny.

Toronto fails again as Burke's team ain't got the defense the tending and don't play well in pressure games and still same group from last years epic blow up.

I think my top 6 are solid to make playoffs 7th & 8th place will be a battle amongst several teams not including the Leafs.

Carolina is much improved.

Habs are still a mess.

Winnipeg could grab 8th solid home team in place of Ottawa who could take a step back.

i am really surprised people think Boston is going to win our division...

Personally i think they are a 6/7 team at best... I hate to say it but Buffalo looks like a better team and will win our division.

Well their team is stacked and Rask is a great goalie (I know you don't think so)

Buffalo will be 2nd in division IMO. Might end up being only a few pts behind the Bruins.

Yeah Steve Ott really puts them over the top talent wise

Okay make your case for why you believe a team finishing near the bottom of the standings becomes a playoff contender overnight with minimum roster changes and you may persuade new believers. Perhaps you are counting on a Luongo addition as a certainty of occurrence in your reasoning.

The reason for doubt remains obvious, and needs little to no convincing to the later.

Remember Mike Murphy to Pat Burns?
Great what a defensive coach can do.

All that Buffalo added was Steve Ott. They're basically the same team that finished with 89 points last year.

1. Bruins (Easier schedule than the Atlantic guys)
2. Pens
3. Caps
4. Rangers
5. Flyers
6. Ottawa
7. Carolina
8. Habs
9. Tampa
10. NJ
11. Sabres
12. Florida
13. Winnipeg
14. Leafs
15. Isles

I think Pens and Rangers have a better team than Bruins but keep in mind the schedule. 18/48 games against your division. I'd be surprised if Isles aren't last because of this.

I think 5-11 will be extremely close

gets them a playoff spot and they have better prospects then us

Not sure what this has to do with what I'm saying though? I'm arguing that they've not done enough to push ahead of Boston or to win the NE division.

Reimer returns to form. Boston drops due to a Rask groin injury mid-season, requring them to play their 3rd string goalie. Kessel and Lupul continue their production, Kulemin returns to form, and Randy Carlyle's defensive system works wonders for the Leafs goals against.
