And 3 hours later, John Danks gets out of the 2nd inning

Good God, it's like 6 innings of Papelbon

wake me up when MLB fines Danks 2.5 million for being a tool, or when ever we knock his ass out of this game.

Bogaerts with a RBI double. He's 2-2 but his best AB still might have been the first one where he walked. Usually don't see that kind of patience from young players, just look at Middlebrooks.

Both he and JBJ are going to add to our pitch eating line-up.

Sportsnet just announced that the Red Sox have picked up INF John McDonald from the Phillies. Boston is sending minor league P Nefi Ogando back the other way. McDonald is only hitting .174 this season but still has above average defensive skills. Ogando ( 24 ) has spent the season with the Single-A Salem Red Sox. In 55 innings of relief he has posted a 4.09 ERA .

He's a great clubhouse guy. Well known around the league. Butterfield loves him.

Peavy looked damn good once again tonight. Time to root for the A's.

Anyone worried about Pedroia?

Why? There's no need to be worried about him. Just look at his August numbers.

Fine then, I suppose the slump was mostly a July thing, but the 0-5 tonight was troubling.

3.5 (2 loses) or 4.5 (3 loses)game lead heading into september, but the Rays are winning at a .850 clip still right?

Hell baby
Sox are coming in 4th, right guys? No way we can beat the Rays seeing as how dominant they are.

Jake Peavy is pitching a lot better than I thought he would. Reminds me of a younger hungrier Josh Beckett with worse stuff.

Tigers had Iglesias in the #2 spot today. 2 more hits and a walk. still hitting .320 with a .368 OBP

very good trade for both teams it appears
