Weirchioch for Connolly is something i would do.

They want a D and we can sign a stop gap still Ceci is ready and we add a solid prospects upfront

ps. I would have taken Nino in a heartbeat that guy is going to be a good powerforward

So I've seen that Ottawa might have been calling Pitts for James Neal? That would be a big hell yes on my part. He would be stupid good with Spezza.

Wiercioch had similar numbers to Shattenkirk who just got 4.25m.difference is PW is questionable defensively. Being the fact that he is tied as an RFA he will get a 2yr 1mil offer. Being that he was out of the lineup a fair amount I dont think the sens will budge as Pw has very limited negotiating leverage. Condra has more overall negotiating position as he doesnt have the obvious weakness.
Feel sorry for Boro..he has limited Nhl experiece..2 years 650 2 way.

I'm at the point where I don't know what this teams direction is. I think they want see how they do next season with a healthy line first before trying to vastly improve us.

Call it the dream line. Because that is what it is. Not any of them will sign for that low.

Also, max salary retention is 50%, not 80%.

I read it on hockey buzz, i think it was actually just a blogger for the edmonton oilers who was talking about what the oilers needed to do. He brought up that the oilers needed a 3rd line center and that is where zack smith for hemsky came up.

Chances are that Edmonton Oilers blogger has 0 sources, like most of the bloggers on Hockeybuzz. It's just speculation, not a legit rumor.

Most bloggers have no inside info. So they make stuff up. They try to think, "if I was the GM, what would i do?" Then say they are hearing a rumor."

Lecavalier is looking for term. Give him 4 yrs/18 million.

Briere could use a bit of a bump up in salary but on the open market he is not getting anywhere near what he signed for in Philly.

Alfie is due what he wants, I know, but realistically he is only coming back for the opportunity to win. Him taking a pay cut helps with that. Bump him up to 4, Why not.

With this line up and other top teams in the east shedding players I think we would be in a very good position to make a run.

An overhaul like this is what we need if we are going to a run. Not to mention if Spezza's back gives out again we have a good back up plan in Vinny stepping and Turris fillng the 2C spot.

You are going to be disappointed. Its not happening sorry to say. Alfie is the type of player to take a pay cut, but that still would not be enough to acquire both lecavalier and briere.
