But ya, we don't have a player like Talbot on this team...Vitale is a poor man's Talbot. I think if we got him, let Sill stay, and got another good forward for Crosby...aka Cammy, we take it all.

How would you guys feel if we would trade for McGinn and play him on Sid's RW? Just wondering. I really wouldn't mind it, because anyone is better than Dupuis. However, is Kunitz-Crosby-McGinn better than Kunitz-Crosby-Bennett?

Vitale does most things we need better than Talbot, and at a fraction of the price. If we want more goal-scoring we can do better than to add a small, unphysical bottom 6er on pace for 9 goals making almost 2 mil per. That would be a terrible allocation of resources.

I haven't really seen McGinn play this year, but he just looks like another player who can't get anything done on his own.

At that point I'd do Kunitz Crosby Bennett and McGinn - Malkin - Neal.

No it's not, I'd honestly have no problem trading him. He's too slow. I wouldn't want him on the third line, but if we kept him then he'd be on the 4th. And that would be worth it because once again, our 4th line would actually have some scoring punch and he would be on every second PP unit.

I agree with the trading him part. But he would be a complete waste of a roster spot on the 4th line. Again, play Megna.

if we are going to bring back an old Penguin bottom 6er, I'd want it to be Rupp. Sill - Vitale - Rupp could be fun to watch.

Once...again...Talbot is a big game player...and not from just a couple instances...but from his career playoff statistics...yes we would do fine without him in the regular season. I care about winning the cup, and that's where Talbot helps so much more than Vitale ever could. Saying that, I'm still fine with Vitale as our 4th line center. I just don't expect more than winning faceoffs and the occasional physical spark.

McGinn is a grunt work guy.

Sid's line already has that. Malkin's line could use it.

Bennett is primarily a skill guy.

Yeah that would be excellent as well. It would also kill any chance that Kulemin comes here in free agency. However, it's kinda unfair that we keep trading for wingers for Malkin. I feel like Sid's RW spot is a bigger issue than Malkin's LW.
