Honestly, once you find a design you like, it's pretty easy to fill in the information. We had some excellently designed ones last year and in years past, for sure.

But I'll say my most favorite one I did was not because of the shop, but the photos I went to include. I ended up making a simple collage. You'd be surprised what you can convey about the game just with a few awesome, ice-level photos, a YouTube vid, and a lineup.

That's all you need, really. I'm also more than happy to help if people have questions about how to do stuff. I can be a nice guy sometimes mostly.

...and yes, that's my shameless plug to also see MOAR people doing them because A. They're fun and B. if I end up doing nearly 40 by the end of the season, none of you are going to like me.

After a trial-run of regular season GDT's last year we will continue with GDT's for the 2013-2014 season but with a revised format.

Nationally televised games in both the U.S. and Canada will get their own GDT's in the NHL Talk forum. The networks covered will be: CBC, NBCSN, NBC, TSN, NHLN-US, and NHLN-CA.

There will be separate GDT's covering each game, assuming there are games that day which fall under the above criteria.

The creators of team forum GDT's are welcome to copy their OP here and post it no more than two hours before game time. If it is not posted by one hour before game time a moderator will copy it here. Only the home team's GDT will be posted as the GDT on this forum.

Be aware that home forum GDT's are often biased, but with the creative people we have here when it comes to GDT's we would like to give their work a wider audience. Again, team forum GDT's are often biased so that is something that will need to be overlooked here by opposing fans.

It's really easy to do I take pictures to make them pretty but as long as you put who they are playing, where, time and things like that you're all good

I learned by looking at what others did and went from there. Don't have to be fancy.
