Corey White is ok for what he is, he was just completely overmatched as a starting corner.

Toon kept getting hurt, he had potential.

Cowboys:

LOL

1. Mo Claiborne: F---

Traded up for him. Bust. Missed out on a lot of great defensive players.

2. Tyrone Crawford: B- (3rd round)

Didn't show much in the 3-4. Had a good year in 2014 at the 3-tech position and gets rewarded with a 5 year-45mil contract. Had a bad year last year, but played with a shoulder injury (rotator cuff IIRC). They gave him a lot for one "good" year.

3. Kyle Wilber: C

Drafted more for the 3-4 as an LOLB, he has adjusted and started for the Cowboys at LOLB in the 4-3. Average.

4. Matt Johnson: D-

Mr. Injury. couldn't stay healthy, but looked like he had potential inbetween injuries.

5. Danny Coale: F

Speedy receiver that didn't pan out

6. James Hanna: C.

Fast big TE that only excels at blocking. Re-signed for 3 years.

7. Caleb McSurdy: F

ILB who didn't pan out.

Terrible draft. The trade up and selecting Mo set back the team.

What happened to Claiborne? he was seen as can't miss coming out of LSU?

He did ok his rookie year. Came on strong at the end. He and Carr were brought in for Rob Ryan's press defense.

Ryan gets canned at the end of the year. Kiffen comes in, and runs a mix of zone and man coverages.

Claiborne goes through the injury bug and just looks lost on the field.

Injuries did him no favor, he had zero confidence out there, and struggled heavily making reads in zone coverage.

This past year his confidence went up, but he looked like a JAG. Wasn't a trainwreck defensively, but far from a building block on defense.

Patriots

1st Round
Chandler Jones (DE, Syracuse)
Top 10 DE in the game, tended to trail off in the second half of seasons. Traded away to ARZ this offseason. Great pick.
Dont’a Hightower (LB, Alabama)
Top 10 LB in the game. All around smart player who pairs with Collins to form one of the top LB tandems in the game. Going to get paid this offseason. Great pick.

2nd Round
Tavon Wilson (S, Illinois)
Depth player, played a lot of special teams where he was good, but didn't see the field much defensively. Moved on this offseason. Not a great pick.

3rd Round
Jake Bequette (DE, Arkansas)
Didn't do anything (0 tackles) in his career, but somehow stuck around NE for 4 years, basically as a practice squad player the entire time. Out of the NFL now. Big miss.

6th Round
Nate Ebner (DB, Ohio State)
Great special teamer. Saw sporadic playing time at safety over the years, but his main contribution will always be special teams. Recently re-signed. Solid depth pick late in the draft.

7th Round
Alfonzo Dennard (CB, Nebraska)
Had a few decent years before falling off a cliff, and having legal problems. Signed with ARZ last year but was cut. Out of NFL. All in all a miss, but they still go some value.
Jeremy Ebert (WR, Northwestern)
Did nothing. Miss.

Overall this draft was a B+

The Patriots got two premier players in the first round, even if they moved on from Jones. Missed pretty much everywhere except for Ebner. Wilson gave them good depth and ability on special teams, but you'd expect more out of a 2nd rounder. Ebner was a good find late in the draft.
