Boomer Gordon picked Petro to win the Norris today on The Point...sounds like a good enough prediction to me.

1st 24 games scoring leader...Oshie
Full season... Perron
Tarasenko starts slow, catches fire, tapers off, then has a productive playoff...2nd in Calder votes
Sobotka projects a career year over a full season

Backes wins the Selke

Blues finish 1st in division...3rd in Conference

I agree with you on your report. With the Blues model, we role 3 lines. I don't think McRae is anything, but a marginal 3rd line guy at best. Perhaps a shot gives him some spring in his step ala Kozma of the Cards. I predict the Steen, Oshie, McDonald injury shuttle giving him a shot as we need someone with at least some center skills. While we are making predictions, I'm just picking a Kozma for this year as no one expected what we got from Kozma. McRae gives us a glimmer of hope this year(then trade him!). 1000 to 1 odds. Just an off the cuff bold prediction with no precedence.

While I agree that McRae will get time on the NHL roster this year, I really do not see him being anymore then a borderline NHLer for the rest of his career. I would love to say opposite, I would love to predict him to put up solid points on the 3rd line, but I just don't see it.

I don't think its a matter of skill, I think he has the skill to be a solid checking line forward; he proved that in is 10/11 call up. But I think it's just a matter of other prospects being ahead of him on the depth chart, and with the way the Blues are in the playoff hunt, it doesn't make sense giving a spot to him. Sure, if we were the Jackets, Islanders, or Oilers we would probably give him a spot, I mean he proved he can contribute. But It's gonna be hard for him to find a spot on a playoff team like the blues.

Interesting that they have none of those players playing every game.

If Stewart finishes ahead of Oshie, Perron, McDonald, and Berglund I'd be surprised.

I wouldn't be too surprised if those were the numbers for Stewart at the end of the season, but even so, I don't think it would be good enough for 3rd on the team. I think people will be surprised by our offensive production this season. I think well be top 8 in goals.

Glancing down the entire list, they have very few players playing all 48 games. Obviously their model will use the past few seasons, so if a player hasn't basically played every game it is going to show some missed time.

Exciting that we can finally talk some hockey with the start of a season around the corner. A lot depends who who earns first team PP minutes. The blues will once again be one of the better skating teams in the league. Health as always will be a factor. I think the biggest question mark is health on the blue line. Will be fun to watch the many players who can get better.

Since its prediction time I'll say Perron and Stewart battle for top goal scorer with Perron taking the honors. I think Tarasenko will score over 20'goals. He could lead the team in scoring but I'm not ready to predict it. If Cole stays healthy Blues fans will be pleased with him and he will add some offense from the blue line. Who will beat out Tarasenko for top rookie honors?

I would be VERY surprised if Tarasenko scores more than Backes, in less games. I just think it will take some time for him to adjust. I won't be upset if the numbers shake out like this though lol.

Granlund and Schultz are both great players (producing very well in the AHL) who play in bigger markets, and IMO, are very likely to receive mounds of 'extra' secondary assists. I don't believe either player to be more talented than Tank, but, the Calder (along with the Norris) is one of the more political awards in the sense that media coverage outweighs a micro overview of how a player performs.

In Schultz's case especially, if he moderately improves the Edmonton D, the media will put a ton of wind beneath his sails.

Lets hope tank makes it impossible to not pick him!

I think Perron or Stewart lead in goals. McDonald in points if he stays healthy.

Not going to make any predictions for Tarasenko. I'll just let him pleasantly surprise me. :)

Sorry for annoying you guys again, last time!

Do you think Elliot will start at least 1 game a week? I know it's very hard to predict, but what are your views on the tandem?

Unless Halak gets a shutout the night before and/or Elliot implodes, he will be playing 1 of the 2 back-to-backs at the very least.

The converse is true of Halak, as well.

Some thoughts: Point leader for the team will be Perron. I am thinking somewhere on the 20-25/25 for around 50 points. Not far behind will be the rest of the pack.

Oshie: 16/20/36
Backes: 15/20/35
Berglund: 15/18/33
Mcdonald: 14/17/31

The Blues tandem spilt starts roughly 55/45 last season. I could see that going to 60/40 this season at (worst/best?). Barring injury, I think its a safe to assume that Elliott will start around 20 games this season.

What are you guys expecting of tarasenko this year? I just picked him up in our draft and think I got a steal as a 24th round pick

In real life, I think he'll take some time to learn the North American game and Hitchcock's system, so he may struggle with things at times.

But for fantasy, I think he's a good pick. With Andy McDonald (our best playmaker) playing on the same line as him and feeding the puck, and with him apparently already on one of the top powerplay units, there's no doubt that he should put the puck in the net. I could see him scoring 15 or more goals this season.

Assuming the Blues make the playoffs, I'd love to see a bunch of avatars themed on famous Franks:

Frank Sinatra
Frank the Tank
TV's Frank (MST3K)
Frank Zappa
Frank Robinson
Frank Gifford
Franklin (the puppet from Arrested Development)
Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper from Blue Velvet)
Frankenfurter (Rocky Horror Picture Show)
Frank Drummond (Naked Gun)
Frankenstein

I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of obvious ones.

Just thought I'd tuck this idea away here so it doesn't evaporate.

Once we get his first goal smile, I want his face on a repetitive gif doing the dance.

Life long Flyer fan wishing your organization the best of luck on the upcoming abbreviated season. I've really come to respect the way in which this team has been put together. I think with even savvy, knowledgeable hockey fans, The Blues fly under the radar.

Again, really like the make-up of this team, its depth at all positions, its mixture of youth and veterans and I see you boys coming out of the West in this year's final. As for winning it all, well, the crystal ball is still a little murky. Good Luck.
