I could see the case for Schief above Kuch but I can't see the case for Gaudreau above either of them. Schiefele is a pretty elite 1C Kuch is unbelievable. Johnny is very very good. I think you should have added Adam Larsson to the list as well along with Trochek and Klefbom (who others have previously stated).

Damn this was a pretty weak draft in hindsight. About 10-12 really good players and it kinda drops off after that.

I could see the case for Schief above Kuch but I can't see the case for Gaudreau above either of them. Schiefele is a pretty elite 1C Kuch is unbelievable. Johnny is very very good. I think you should have added Adam Larsson to the list as well along with Trochek and Klefbom (who others have previously stated).

Schief above Kuch is purely on valuing position, but Kucherov *is* one of those rare wingers that can drive a line on his own, so I think that more than balances the positional difference.

IMO it'd probably be this considering what NHL teams value:

1. Scheifele
2. Kucherov
3. Gaudreau


Of course, I personally would pick Kucherov #1 but teams tend to jump through flaming hoops for the 1C.
