I'd like to know who are the prospects from the upcoming 2011 NHL Draft that most consider to be immediately ready for the NHL(ready to play in 2011-2012 season)?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Theres a thread on this either on this page already or one page back.
To sum it up.
1. Couturier
2. Landeskog
3. Larsson
4. Who knows, depends on team/player combo.
I would say that Landeskog is the most NHL ready, but I'm not sure if you're ordering it based on who is the most NHL ready or just listing players that are.
Larsson, maybe Couturier.
This draft class is VERY weak. Of course there will be a bunch that become good NHLers, but outside of the two I mentioned, they all need quite a bit of time to develop. Landeskog may be ready as well by the time next season comes around, but I wouldn't count on him making the NHL unless his team is very weak.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Duncan Siemens step right into the NHL. It depends on who drafts him though.
Even though it clashes with many beliefs on this board, I still think Nugent-Hopkins could play next season as well, especially if he's drafted by a team like the Sens. Not as a center but could play on the wing if a team lacks tskill in their top 6 (Ottawa).
Whoever though Skinner of all prospects from last June was NHL "ready" let alone an NHL star?
So you can't count out Nugen-Hopkins who is even more dynamic in terms of puck skills, skating, and playmaking.
Skinner has great goal scoring instincts and soft hands, that and Erik Staal is a deadly combo.
renegade do you think hopkins could potentially jump? people say hes physically immature but the same was said of patrick kane...can you see it happening?
BUMP!
Opinions on who's ready out of Huberdeau, Puempel, Rattie, Beaulieu, or Hamilton.
Saad could step right in. He is pretty well built already.
