Looks like they added more teams to the NBC roster, thankfully.
So, I am completely reading this right? It looks like NBC could end up with some Sunday night games???
Today only means what get's blacked out on GCL/CI. Really debating if I want to get the package this year, since it's costly and there are many blackout restrictions. Did love it last year though. Just don't know what the incentives are.
No. I believe it remains the same as the past. NBC Sunday games are at 12:30 (or 1). They will select one of the game listed and move it from the current time listed to 12:30. The other game will remain at the time and air on Versus/NBC Sports Net (that part is new).
FINALLY!
It took those dinosaurs 15 years of complaints, but CBC got it right - with the exception of five matinee games, every Canadian team playing on Saturday gets its game broadcast on HNIC (and being matinees, I'm sure Sportsnet/regional affiliates will be permitted to pick those games up).
Good for CBC!
DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings will be on U.S. national TV an NHL-high 17 times, starting with a special "day after Thanksgiving game'' Nov. 25 at the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins on NBC (1 p.m.).
Wow is NBC crazy? The day after Thanksgiving is a huge College Football Day, I know thats been a traditional game in Boston but I can't expect this to compete with College Football.

It is more than that, the CBC is not televising 12 matinee games involving canadian teams. Four of them being the Canucks, three Oilers, three Flames and two Senators. Yes, Sportsnet will televise them regionally but the CBC still doesn't get it. Boo the CBC and keep up the complaints!FINALLY!

A huge college football day? Have you even looked at that games on that day? Iowa/Nebraska and Arkansas/LSU are the only good ones. Those are areas where college football is king anyways so you're not taking ratings away from a place that would normally get them.
After that the next best games are Pittsburgh/West Virginia and Boston College/Miami. The Bruins are going to get the ratings over Boston College and while Pittsburgh's ratings may suffer because Pittsburgh/West Virginia is a big rivalry, it won't make a big difference.
