Glennie is such a hard guy to try and project, he is speedy and skilled but maybe a little injury prone? Sometimes the moves he makes wows the whole crowd, and he's brave in front of the net, had his first dub fight. Then other times he makes an unpredictable move on ice, and the guys look at him strange!! I will tell you this, he learnt a lot in a hurry last year, the firs 1/4 of the season he was not great defensively, Kelly Mac benched him a couple times after errors, and he soon started playing better defensively. He was a good scorer in AAA, but i agree, the scouts will have him ranked all over the board, from 15th to 50th!!

I like Kelly does a good job with his players, I think he'll turn out fine

Well since I predicted both Myers and Schenn to be 1st rounders when they were both 16 yr old rookies in the WHL, I will say that Collin Bowman, also of Kelowna could be an interesting guy to watch. He played more and more minutes as a 16 yr old last year on defense and already has the size and smarts. He has the pleasure of being brought in slowly without being relied on too much and I could see him being a 2md rounder that could sneak even higher in '09.

What about Brandon Gormley? What do you think he will turn out to be like?

He's got about 2 years until his time comes for the draft, but if all stays the coarse, he's gonna be a great talent. Offensive style defenseman, but if you ask me, he's more of a do-it-all player. Not a huge kid, but a good sized frame, that he has time to grow into a bit more and add another inch or so. He's so smooth and can really do it all. Right now, I think he's a top 5 player... of course there's a long way to go until it even matters where he ranks.

Mikael Granlund and Joonas Donskoi are skipping JrB this season and will be playing full time JrA.

They should be 3/4 SM-Liiga Sr and 1/4 SM-Liiga JrA for the 2009-2010 season.

Look for Granlund to shoot up!

I think he is playing with the jr Kings this year. He and his father are both living in LA during the hockey season.

From what I heard from our Slovenia fans Anze's brother is supposed to be pretty damn good but not as good. I was shocked to see him ranked in the top 30, I did not know a lot, would be awesome if LA got both of them.

That would be pretty neat.

If I recall, I wanna say someone on here described him as very similar in style and even skill to his brother.

I'd like to see a Kopitar on the Pens.;)

I like the lists... at this point, it's more about having the right names on the radar, as opposed to the order they're in.

Well said. It's a given that there will be jockeying between now and draft day and rankings will always vary. This far ahead, I'm more interested in seeing the names than the numbers next to them.

Although, I would say that I care a little bit about rankings within the top 10.

he's a great offensive player, 1scout i talked 2 had him in the first round

I think that's pretty ambitious for Hutchings. He's got solid offensive upside, and he's a good skater but that's about where it ends. He's listed as 5'10" although I'd say he's closer to 5'8" and he's extremely slight. He needs to drastically improve his strength as well. We'll see how he does, but I would be extremely surprised to see him go in the 1st round.

so what are the odds that Kirill Kabanov actually plays in the NHL. if he continues to develop and is still a potential top 2 pick, does he get picked there or do teams pass on him.

he still a potential number 1 pick on 2010 draft! he has all tools to be in same class as Ovechkin.

You're not afraid of such comparsions? You speak about 16 y.o.

And why you always compare him to Ovechkin? AO always was built very good, while kabanov doesn't have his physics, and is a pretty skinny kid.
