Assuming there is a season next year, who would play in Young Stars game? Forwards? Defensemen? Goalies?

You're talking about people who aren't even in the NHL yet. At least wait for there to be a season, and wait for there to be an all star weekend.

I think Horton will Make it, maybe stewart, and a wild card for the Panthers is Josh Olson.

Horton should be there for sure, but look at Spezza this year. Lehtonen right now is the Eastern Conference guy, Fleury could be in the mix though he'll have to have a better start then Lehtonen. Western goalie? LeNeveu perhaps?

Parise will have a good shot, maybe Aleksander Suglobov will make it too.

Toivonen will make it for the Eastern Conference if he plays a dozen NHL games by then.

In the East? Toivonen? What about Kari Lehtonen?

Personally, if he plays, I'd like to see Phaneuf in there for Western D-men. Maybe Kesler, but I don't know that much about him. He played a bit this year and did respectably in the few games he played, if he keeps it up he should be there.

Ovechkin, Semin, Ouellet, and Fehr, if they're eligible, have good shots.

Theyll want to showcase First Year guys, so Ouellet probobly wont make it. I doubt he'd garner as much interest as Fleury or Lehtonen. Semin could be borderline.

This is based on who I think'll make the NHL next season.

    My prediction: West roster-

F-R.Getzlaf ANA, M.Svatos COL, A.Hemsky(yes, I do believe he's still eligible) EDM, L.Tukonen(assuming he goes to Phoenix) PHX, R.Olesz(assuming he goes to Chicago) CHI, A.Miettinen DAL, D.Brown LAK, J.Tootoo NAS.

D-D.Phaneuf CGY, A.Babchuk CHI, T.Daley DAL, C.Barker(assuming he goes to Columbus) CLB, D.Grebeshkov LAK, D.Lynch EDM.

    G-I.Bryzgalov ANA

  11. Koivu, O'Sullivan, and Burns on defense for the Wild

If both are playing in the NHL, both will make the team. I'm sure of it.

They are some spot open next year for the habs and a few rookie are knocking at the door like : Alexander Perezhogin, Andrei Kastitsyn ( If signed ), Chris Higgins Marcel Hossa and Tomas Plecanek I don't say they will all make it.
AT Defense Komisarek is a lock to play with the habs, maybe withthe rookie allstars and Hainsey a big maybe....

  15. EAST:
    Goaltender:
    Kari Lehtonen- Atlanta Thrashers

    Defensemen:
*AJ Thelen- Carolina Hurricanes (assuming he is drafted and then signed)
    Shaone Morrisson- Washington Capitals
    Thomas Pock- New York Rangers
*Ryan Whitney-Pittsburgh Penguins (if AJ Thelen isn't drafted or signed)
    Fedor Tjutin- New York Rangers
    Carlo Colaiacova- Toronto Maple Leafs

    Forwards:
    Alexander Ovechkin- Washington Capitals
    Evengii Malkin- Pittsburgh Penguins
Jason Spezza- Ottawa Senators (I believe he is still eligable)
Thomas Vanek- Buffalo Sabres (assuming they sign him)
    Zach Parise- New Jersey Devils
    Nathan Horton- Florida Panthers
    Alexander Semin- Washington Capitals
    Chris Higgins- Montreal Canadians
Andrei Kastitsyn- Montreal Canadians (if signed)
    Thomas Plecanek- Montreal Canadians

    WEST:
    Goaltender:
    David LeVenue/Ilja Brzygalov/Dark Horse

    Defensemen:
    *Brent Burns- Minnesota Wild
    Cam Barker- Columbus Blue Jackets
    Anton Babchuk- Chicago Blackhawks
    *Dion Phaneuf- Calgary Flames
    *One of Nashville's Many Defensemen
    JP Liles- Colorado Avalanche

    Forwards:
    Dan Fritische- Columbus Blue Jackets
    Patrick O'Sullivan- Minnesota Wild
    Mark Svatos- Colorado Avalanche
    Dustin Brown- Los Angeles Kings
    Andrew Ladd/Lauri Tukonen/Robbie Schremp/Alexander Radulov- Phoenix Coyotes
    Jiri Hudler- Detroit Red Wings
    Mikko Koivu- Minnesota Wild
    Ryan Getzlaf- Anaheim Mighty Ducks

There could be other dark horses too, like Hunter and Bergeron this year.

I don't think Perezhogin will play.

I don't know if they put rookies in there... at least, unless they're tearing up the league they won't.

and Semin should be a pretty much certainty, if he's putting up solid numbers.

  19. they put in a lot of rookies last year...

Miettinen should get plenty of icetime with Young and others gone . 30 pts could be possible

If you were to have asked this last year, I think the responses would have been alot different than the actual rosters. I would say maybe half the players came out of nowhere to be on the team.

Also some guys that should have been there weren't because their respective teams already had reps in the actual all-star game.

This isn't really a bold prediction but I would say alot of unexpected youngsters will be there.

Wow I really went out on a limb there.

I'd say Whitney's more likely to make it than either Orpik or Malone.

Parise will probably make it. I don't think 40 points is an unreasonable expectation for him. Suglobov I'm not so sure about it. I have a feeling that he will start out in the AHL.
