The only advantage a PP gives the Stars is it’s harder for the other team to score. Being able to ice the puck is better than an extra defender against a team that struggles with zone entries. Tactically, it might even make sense to decline a PP if it’s late in the game and they’re trailing.

It’s too bad you can’t do that.

Its so wierd with 11 forwards every forward gets solid icetime and one defenseman gets the shaft with 12 forwards and 6 defemanse 1 forward does. Its like they would prefer to ice 11F and 6D
