Yes OEL is a better player than Nylander, but the Yotes still aren’t getting a player like that for him.
If OEL was signed to a long term deal, you guys would be right. Nylander wouldn’t even be close to enough value for him.
But he isn’t signed long term, if he was there wouldn’t even be any discussion about moving him.
If you think I’m wrong name a few 20-23 year old forwards with his production and potential that you think you would get back in a trade.

I understand that most Coyote fans don’t want to see their star Dman traded at all and want to see him re-sign. But if he does get moved you guys are going to be very disappointed if you don’t adjust your expectations.
That said I do hope you guy do get him re-signed. He is the face of your franchise and your fan base has had to deal with enough hardship. It will be great if you can find a way to keep him and build around.

and yet, someone will be giving up a first to get Grabner, a pending UFA after this season. OEL should bring a haul. He isn't a pending UFA. That si their biggest trade asset and they better capitalize on it. The original idea was a joke. That doesn't capitalize anything for Arizona. People with a hockey IQ know this.

Arizona giving up three assets, including the best player in the deal, for two Toronto assets and one of those is a ufa, like OEL after next year and isn't as good of a Dman and they have to add Domi? Typical lousy idea from this board. Very few know values of players in this league on this board.
