1st time in 20 years the Islanders are tied for Division lead this far in the season

According the the Islander's beoadcast, this is the first time in 20 years they are tied for divison lead this far into the season.

But... this is also the 4th time this year they have blew a 3 goal lead in the third, losing the other 3 times.

Will the Islanders continue to challenge for the metro title? Or will they start losing ground to the Pens, Rags, and Caps? They have shown they are a good team, but have also shown apparent weaknesses.

When the Penguins have less than 10 AHLers in the line-up they'll start losing ground. Now is the time to try to build a cushion.

We still have serious issues.

Issues that could prevent us from getting out of the first round. With that said, another first round loss might be enough to open Snow's eyes and show the coaching staff the door.

Also, that stat says more about how bad the Islanders have been the last 20 years than how good or not good this current Isles team is.
