Clearly, Not having an affiliate hurts player development as well and may give players pause in leaving college (ie Morrow). I hope Dundon figures this out soon......

Probably in some cases. Morrow might have gone back regardless rather than play in the AHL period and hope he can Luke Hughes it late next season. They may not have given a shit about Wall. And given how long ago we heard about the Chicago situation, we have signed a few prospects since then.

Definitely going to be a challenging year for our prospects, especially if they don't end up mostly in one affiliate.

I have been wondering if Milwaukee/the Preds could do us a solid since we helped with their prospects in the COVID shortened year I believe.

I don’t know that this guy is a bust. Of course he’s likely at best a bottom sixer but that’s cheap labor and exactly what you hope for in a late round pick. He produced at a decent level, if we had a full team to fill out this guy likely gets a chance and maybe spends time in the echl. He’s there for depth if we need.

I could be wrong, we’ll see if someone signs him by fall.

Yeah, not passing judgment on this kid, I have no idea. Just saying that we shouldn't expect trade value for unsigned 6th round picks.
