Dahlin's skills are there, but he doesn't look like a franchise defenseman. Maybe if he was on a team worth anything he would. He has as many points at evens as I do

Exactly. They have about 4 forwards/2 defenseman and literally a tweener in net. Until they develop depth and have goaltending that can bail them out of games they will remain where they are.

When you have 3 goals in the bag and the other team are so poor they don't even pull the goaltender, there is absolutely nothing to be gained from going balls to the wall and lighting them up.

His shot may be the most underrated aspect of his game. He can really pick a corner. I think he has the potential to be a 30-40 goal scorer some day.

Sure there is. You get used to finishing games instead of building a mindset of complacency.

The 3rd period was kinda meh, but they closed the game out in the last period of a weekend set. The outcome was never in doubt after the 3rd goal.

NAK has gotten really good at running the Detroit "non" interference pick where he puts himself between a player and the puck so his teammate can get it. It's a play he sometimes seeks out; he will dump it off and then play the man who had been blocking him while he had the puck. Linemate gets it and possession/pressure resume.

They’re still paying for the shit drafting outside of top 5 picks all these years. Olofsson is really the only big draft win they’ve had over the years outside of top 5-10 picks. Even beyond that they’ve struggled to draft guys who could even fill the bottom of their roster either.

He looks healthy. I had my doubts, but healthy Ghost can still be a valuable player. And we needed that now that Niskanen is gone.

If Ghost can keep his game going like this it is going to be a huge help. He clearly belongs on the Top Powerplay unit. With that said we still need another top 4 D. If you read Tony A's article from earlier today which indicates that it's unusual for Nashville to be scouting the phantoms especially this season, it seems to me that maybe their might be something behind Pierre's mention of Ekholm.
