That's not how players play 2 on 1s.

Letang's responsibility is to take away the pass and Jarry's responsibility is to take away the shot. Letang didn't give up a backdoor pass, Jarry just shit the bed on an easy shot he should have had.

Yeah, if you look at it Jarry and Letang didn't trust each other and Jarry is on the post ready to push off exposing the 5 hole.

Like Gurgs said, I think you just have to give the net to DeSmith at this point. (I don't think either are great ...
