I thought I heard he is dealing with some ankle/lower leg issues. Hopefully the Flyers can get some healthy bodies back so they can match up better. Buffalo will probably try to avoid having Eichel out when Couturier is on the ice.

Holy shit

If he's not traded, he's gonna torch us this weekend.

Dreger & Friedman have both said lately the word out there is that he’s hurt. He had some type of injury coming into the season that is still lingering, that they initially thought wouldn’t be an issue.

They’ve also been fueling up the rumors that he wants out of there & it might be coming to a situation where that news might start becoming more out there soon.

In that case, lets hope he misses the weekend games too.

Oh, yeah, as you're saying for almost two years.. Hagg is #7 or #8 and we shouldnt be worried that he will play if all dmen are healthy.. Yeah

The last two years, Hagg's PT is primarily due to D-man injuries, Ghost in 2019-20, Ghost and Braun this year.
If you're gonna replace him at #7, you're not going to spend a lot of money or assets.
Which is why I think Hogberg is the primary candidate for now, by April there may be more contenders.

But thr problem is that staff think he is NOT #7.

Of course they do, his TOI has been 7th among D-men both last year and this year.
In other words, when they're forced to play him, they play him as little as possible.
Which tells you what they really thought about Friedman.

Hogberg has 200 SHL games under his belt, is making the adjustment to NA hockey, is a solid two way defenseman.
Probably the biggest question is to what extent has he filled out and is he ready for a more physical game than the SHL.
@Appleyard can probably answer that.
But if he's ready, he should be an upgrade over Hagg.
