Is this "must lose" from a McEichel perspective?

It's too early for it to be a "must lose". Taylor hall is out for a while, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Sabres with the way they're playing pull out a win.

We have a VERY VERY tough November ahead of us...so if we win this one, I don't think we'll be winning more than 1 game the rest of the month. After this we have:

Pittsburgh
St. Louis
Minnesota
Toronto
San Jose
NY Rangers
Washington
Winnipeg
Montreal
Montreal

I can see us coming away with 3 points at the most the rest of the month.

Instead of being a "must-lose", I think it's more important (especially w/ the schedule we have) that other teams that are bottom feeders win more or at least get a point in close games...such as Carolina, Columbus, Arizona, Washington, Florida, etc...

Thanking God I won't be watching this one and wagering a 2-0 Sabres win.

I think we're going to win. Sigh.

It's very possible that we could be sitting in 28th place tomorrow morning, having leapfrogged Edmonton and one of Carolina/CBJ (provided their game tonight ends in regulation).

Oilers fan coming in peace.

May the worse team lose on our way to Camp McDavid. :handclap:

Sorry can't return the sentiment. You guys have had a ridiculous number of #1 overall picks lately. We haven't had one since 1987, and that was only our 2nd one ever.

You've had enough, quit hogging. Let someone else have a turn.

Edmonton Oilers at Buffalo Sabres, 7:00 p.m. ET

Connor McDavid game of the night: How the Buffalo Sabres have even won three games this season is a bit of a mystery. They appear to be even worse than they were a year ago, have scored only 17 goals in 14 games and have what is by far the league's worst goal differential at minus-28. The next worst team is their opponent on Friday night, the Edmonton Oilers, at minus-16. This is definitely the Connor McDavid game of the night where it pays to lose. Pick: Oilers 4, Sabres 1

The pressure is on for this one... pressure from my wife to turn it off.

I'm sure I'll watch the first period, get weird about cheering for the tank, recognize they're awful and almost unwatchable and question, once again, what it means to be a fan, and the nature of addiction.

15-2 Sabres: 12 for Zadorov, 3 own goals on Edmonton, 2 on Buf.

One more and we're going to quit, I promise. :)

Well, we know we're winning the SJ game.

Weird. Jersey number 24 doesn't even look close to 41.
