Penguins Report:Game Day

PENS GET PICK FOR TANGRADI
Busy day for GM Ray Shero. Starts with re-assigning Reese to WBS, followed by activating Letang and Niskanen from IR, and ending (maybe) with trading Tangradi to Winnipeg for a 7th-round pick in 2013.

Tangradi was always a great guy with the media and a joy with whom to work. Always amiable in interviews and great with a quote. He'll get a good look with the Jets. Michelle and I wish him the best of luck. See you Friday in Winnipeg "Big Dog."

Penguins Report: 2/12/13 Letangs Back!

LETANG, NISKANEN UPDATES
Head coach Dan Bylsma said that both players skated Monday and are progressing. He didn't say they were quite ready to return Wednesday, but also didn't rule them out.

Here is more...

On Niskanen and Letang:
When they do come back, they’ll both play. I don’t think there’s any mystery there. I think Matt Niskanen is 17 days into his 2-4 week (timeframe) and had two full practices with the team. He’s doing and progressing well. Hopefully that means he returns to play here soon. We’ll see how he responds today. Kris Letang had a full day today. We had some contact drills, we had some D-zone, so it was a pretty stressful day on a lower-body injury and he did pretty well. We’ll see where that is for both of them going into tomorrow’s game and the weekend.

On if they skated Monday:
They did both skate yesterday.

On if they could be game-time decisions for Wednesday:
I’m not going to put them there right now, but yes, it could be that tomorrow (they are game-time decisions). They’re both day-to-day right now, so it could be tomorrow that they’re game-time decisions.

--Michelle Crechiolo & Sam Kasan

PRACTICE INFO
Everyone on the Penguins roster participated, including injured defensemen Kris Letang and Matt Niskanen (lower body). It was Letang's first team practice since Feb. 7.

Fish, Shrimper and Biscuits you're all on double secret probation for not heaping praise upon Eugene for one of the best GDTs we've seen in a long time. Great theme, Photoshop chops and info. Excellent work!

Boychuk remains on second line. Sunday night Bylsma talked like there wouldn't be a change there yet. #Penguins

They have to be showcasing Jeffrey. Vitale not being in is ridiculous.

Or they're trying to get Boychuk as much time as needed to see where they go from there. With Vitale taking a couple, I won't say bad penalties, but penalties he took in one game of the same nature. Jeffrey is a very good player and he needs time too.

It's going to be like this until they do decide.

I couldn't get it at first. I thought I was in a dairy. The Line-ups reminded me of ice cream flavors.

I'll have a Dupuis.. no wait, gimme a Malkin to Martin.

This GDT is full of awesomeness 'Gene; good job.

No Joe V again? What in the blue hell is going on DB? I'm not an award winning, evil genius coach but this confuses me.
Get back to the W's boys!
