I understand waiver and stuff, but playing Boyle under any circumstences reeks of the coaching staff never changes, and are ready to make same shit over and over again...zero creativity, anyway, they may come out skating hard tonight, thats all this team need and good goaltending

If they get solid Goaltending, this team when healthy is definitely a cup threat with the centre depth they have.

Just gotta make the playoffs..

I’m talking about when many here were excited after Sceviour and Janks two good games. Immediately, people thought those guys were legit.

Also, our bottom six sucked until BART became the fourth line, not third.

Sceviour had a higher P/P60 than Rust. Marginally behind ERod. He also had 67.5% D-zone draws.
He averaged 9:35, with a chunk of that being PK'ing. Pretty hard to produce offense under these conditions, especially considering his linemates.
He was fine. I'd prefer him over Boyle right now, easily. Maybe this version of ZAR too.

But let's leave the past in the past.

Normally I'd say ERod 3C and Blue 4C, but he's playing so well right now that he should be in the top 6 for a bit. Hard work and production should be rewarded. Sends the right message. He leads the team in points.

I'm finding it difficult to get up for these games. It's not even about the end result (though that's not exactly helping, either), but the fact they just don't look like a fun team to watch. I don't know how much of that is "system" or how much of that is the talent pool available, but the way the Pens play just doesn't entertain me when I watch. Especially with Sid and Geno out, there's almost zero skill on display on a consistent basis.

Mostly I just believe in scoring from the collective outweighing dependence on our top guys, especially since our top guys are old. That's what the Pens did last year, to great effect.
A goal from the blue line would be nice, for example.

Last season the Pens had 28 goals in 56 games from the blue line.

This year we have 4 in 13 games.

I just don't think they mesh well, I think we need a better #6 than Ruhwedel. Who at his best is a very vanilla 6th defenseman with very little identity
