splendor, the gods held their assembly in the sky and sang
`Oh, the picture of perfection! the joy unalloyed! '

But one cried of a sudden
- -`It seems that somewhere there is a break in the chain of light
and one of the stars has been lost.'

The golden string of their harp snapped,
their song stopped, and they cried in dismay
- -`Yes, that lost star was the best,
she was the glory of all heavens! '

From that day the search is unceasing for her,
and the cry goes on from one to the other
that in her the world has lost its one joy!

Only in the deepest silence of night the stars smile
and whisper among themselves
- -`Vain is this seeking! unbroken perfection is over all!)

There's a rumor Risto is being benched? So I dropped him. Forward lineup looks like goofy practice experimentation but it's what was reported this morning.

The team will feature the Cooperalls and new sweater for the first time Tuesday when it hosts the Blues (7 p.m. ET/NBCSP).

It is probably lost in time but I do recall Ilkka Sinisalo sliding on ice unnecessarily and uncontrollably into the net during a pre-season game. It was attributed to the pants. I think it was Bill Barber who cut his pants for better flexibility. That was 40 years ago. Maybe proper alterations have been made since.

Risto will get multiple chances (as will Frost) b/c in a rebuilding year, salvage jobs come at no cost.

But me suspects there's a limit to Torts' patience (see Hodgson, sometimes very limited).

Well unfortunately they're not wearing them during the game, just warm-ups, so it probably doesn't matter.

This is the worst team that has actually ever played in the history of the entire NHL. I'm not watching just going to read a book or maybe watch the masked singer.

Am I doing this right?

Depends on the book.

How about a winged singer.......Flagstad as Brunhild.......

Lol, yeah I remember a few Dmen sliding to block shots and continuing all the away across the D zone. IIRC, I believe the Whalers also wore the Cooperalls for a short time.

But, when it comes to bad NHL gear ideas, those pants pale in comparison to Seals owner Charlie Finley’s plan to use white pucks. That would have been interesting to say the least!
