Panthers went from 340 goals in 2021-'22 (1st) to 290 last year (6th), and are now on pace for 239 this year. (Figures include shootout and OT wins.) 25th in the league in goals per game...and obviously they're still winning enough to be sitting in the playoff picture right now, but between them and the Capitals, strange to see how quickly they've gone from being a team involved in high-scoring games and they're now winning on the strength of defense and goaltending more than goal scoring.
