Yeah, Isles are good. Their bottom-6 has easily outscoured ours (15 goals, 17 assists compared to our 10 goals, 7 assists). Our top-6 of course is a lot more dangerous than theirs, although theirs isn't too shabby either (21 goals, 36 assists compared to our 37 goals, 51 assists). Gonna be tough.

Besides mcdaddy I've been impressed with Coburn this year. Complete turnaround. He's jumping into the play and playing big. I wonder if the trade rumors had an effect. He's been very consistent so far.

I don't know man, I like Girardi too. This is a strange predicament to be in considering the Sustrs and Carles of the not so distant past.

Given what we've seen from TJ, maybe there was a directive from management for certain guys to lay off the weights and slim down a little. Johnson is arguably our fastest player again, and Coburn looks five years younger suddenly. Might be the same thing.

This. Best case scenario is Koekkoek makes himself our best option on the third pairing, and we shed money because of it. Even if Koekkoek has a great year, by his standards, it's hard to imagine his contract getting over 2m.

When Slater plays with confidence, it's a night and day difference.

If KK keeps up his confident play, I wouldn't be surprised if they go 11-7 like last year or flat out swap him a Girardi out to rest him.

I've been so I'm with the whole team, honestly. Everyone is doing their part. I'm normally not a big Paquette fan, but I've even been impressed by how he's playing his role this season.
