Nice now Hitchcock can take all the credit if Jesse plays well and dodge all criticism if Jesse doesn't. Clever timing.
Cause he is speedy, bad defensively but has shown offensive flair in the past. I think the hope is McDavid can use his offensive ability and cover his defensive lack of.

Given his history he does have some offensive ability so why not try him with McDavid to see if Spooner can take advantage of it?

Probably because he doesn't want Talbot to sit for too long and if there is one team Talbot should be able to beat, it's LA. They've been lousy.

How does he dodge criticism? He literally is saying he wants him up to work on his development, so he's taking responsibility for it.
TMs blender came out usually even if the team was winning.
The Oilers scored one goal last game and Caggiula had a not great game. I think Hitchcock is trying out a few things before he settles on where everyone is slotted.
