Nah, the replay made it look really clear I thought. Stralman got his stick in between Sheary's legs it looked like, and it caused Sheary to fall over.

Yeah, this is what happened. Stralman got his stick in between Sheary's legs, and Sheary fell over as he was trying to follow the puck. Is that tripping penalty worthy? I think it is by the rules.

Yes, because the Penguins scored the first 5 on 3 goal during the first 2 minutes of the high sticking penalty.

For sure he will go down as one of the better goalscorers of all time to never win anything. He’s a great supporting guy but not a guy to lead a team
