some big names here, but if you're looking for the best combination of impact & longevity at NHL level....who's the superior prospect in this group?

Ryan Getzlaf
Zach Parise
Mike Richards
Jeff Carter
Tomas Vanek
Dion Phaneuf
Braydon Coburn
Ryan Suter
Shea Weber
Hannu Toivonen

if you could grab just 1 from that list of 10, who would it be?

JEFF CARTER.

Phaneuf looks good, too but i think he's gonna have some injuries thrown at him...after giving out a good few first.

Phaneuf and Vanek, just because I think their ceilings are slightly higher than the rest.

I'd say Weber, Richards and Coburn are slightly under the level of the majority of those.

I'll say Suter. I think he'll have a career much like his uncle. Gary Suter was a tremendous all-around defenseman for almost 20 years. I see Ryan having a similar impact.

Hugh Jessiman. I know everyone is down on him, but I feel he will be a force in NHL especially with(hopefully) the new rules on obstruction.
Dion Phaneuf would be 1a, and as sais before if he can avoid injury he will be next dominate D man.

If you want to build a dynasty, it comes down to Phaneuf or Toivonen.
