Ref didn't blow whistle while Quick had it locked down and Kings score same shift...

If there's nobody pressuring, they'll give him a chance to move it. Otherwise, it could technically be delay of game on him.

Yes, a penalty shot happens more than 3 v 3.... but you obviously completely missed my point how a penalty shot =/= shootout. They are not at all the same.

As for a penalty shot eliminating the penalty... no.

A failed penalty shot is the same as a failed PP.

I liked the 3 on 3, it's exciting as **** and still represents team play and hockey. Wish they'd do 4 on 4 first, but I'm not gonna complain. Just really hope we're an okay 3 on 3 team and this doesn't cost us points.

A place.
I wonder what a 3 on 3 hockey league would look like.

Maybe it's something the MSHSL should look at for schools that don't have enough students to field a regular hockey team and aren't fielding one as a cooperative with another school.

I'd pay high school admission fees to see that.

There are 3 v 3 leagues amateurs play in... they usually play the width of the ice instead of the length of the ice in setup though, so they can have multiple games going at once.

As for MSHSL doing a 3 on 3 league... no way do I ever want to see that.

Why not if it gives smaller schools the chance to field a hockey team?

Because you are not teaching them how to play real fundamental hockey. If a kid goes to a school that doesn't have a hockey team, he is actually eligible to play for the nearest school that does. That way the kid can play real hockey instead.

It's not like regular football and 9-man football, where 9 man football is almost identical fundamentally. 3 v 3 hockey league would not promote good player development.

Kuemper was great. Good to see. Not sure what I think about 3-3. It's intense but maybe a tad too open for my taste. On the other hand, it forces teams to try scoring. A goal scoring contest, something between hockey and shootout. Must see some
more before judging.

Very satisfying seeing our back up goalie do such a nice job.

Before the season if you were to tell me we'd get 7 out of 8 points after the first four games I would take that with a smile.

Kemps stole that point for us. He played fantastic. Rest of the team looked tied as hell till that 3rd period.

There's nothing wrong with keeping the game moving, but you can't catch the puck in your crease and then skate to the face off dot before dropping it.

I don't think it was the reason the Wild lost, but it isn't something that you can allow to happen.
