Does anyone know why Griffith was passed up in the first draft he was eligible for and then taken by Boston so late in the next draft? At the time I couldn't figure out how one of the top scorers in the OHL could get passed up like that. We can clearly see now he has the goods to score in the AHL as well, I don't know how so many teams could pass him up.

His first 2 years in junior never showed a lot of pro potential. He exploded in year 3 and his lower body was a lot stronger. Incredible shooter in London.

Right, I think hockey IQ is just as important as physical attributes.... You can improve in the physical areas (Datsyuk), but not in the smarts (Pouliot).
