I think maybe that those two early goals might have been just what the team needed to happen, I mean that they needed to see what playing poorly could do and learn from it.

All 3 games, we started slow and then got stronger as the game went on. Engblom credited that to the banner raising and two 1pm games. Next one's in Detroit at 7:30, so hopefully we'll see a more complete game.

Sustr and Carle are the only players without a point 3 games in. (besides Paquette and Nesty of course)

Aside from the penalties, I'm counting this as a third straight game where Carle did not suck.

I was a little more sour on him this game. He had a lot more trouble with the break out this game, although showed some offensive instincts at times.

I'll agree that this is far better than he's been though.

Quietest game for Kuch in a long time, I think. Barely noticed him.

Missed it all, had I realized it was a 1pm game i'd have scheduled myself differently... but a great recap to come back to! Seems like a continuation of last season honestly, the guys have some unfinished business. I think they're going to hit a wall at some point in January-February, hopefully they build up some points before that and are able to ramp it up again down the stretch and do something special again in the playoffs.

But so far, so good! It's good to see the team finishing strong, and spreading the scoring around, but Wins are all that really matter anyway.

Wasn't our prettiest game but we simply overpowered the Bruins with offense. That's what great teams do. Things aren't going very smoothly? Just score 6 goals and clean up your mistakes next time.

Coburn was atrocious in the first half, like he was playing intoxicated. Sustr and Stamkos not far behind. They all got better as the game went on. Namestnikov with another solid outing. Ok game against a bad team.

I agree with Kuch having a quiet game tonight, I think he still made a few nice plays though

Not too fancy game, PK was pretty poor especially. Our firepower basically gave us the edge.

That game is what happens when your PP clicks. It cost us a lot of points last year. I don't think there's a team close to us in terms of offense when our PP is scoring goals. We led the league in goals last year essentially without our biggest offensive weapon.

And now that Abdullah the Cooper has ended the Bruins regular season curse (first regular season win there since 2010) it's time to do the hard work and beat the rat bastages in Detroit back to back...

Not sure if this was already posted or not but gave me a good laugh.
