It should be an interesting game - maybe a game that Chytil start to get rewarded for his chances.

Hopefully.

Need Buchnevich to start becoming the player Quinn wants him to be.
You know what's funny? Some here are wanting Chytil to be sent down and have questioned whether or not he belongs here as a 19 yr old. At this point Buch is more deserving of that.
I've been supporting Buch all along (we know the haters and the die hard Buch fans here)......I have been somewhere in the middle. I have been patiently awaiting his breakout. Seemed last year (injured shortly thereafter) there was a stretch of 4 games where "the light went on" and would be on his way to stardom.......okay, that may be a stretch......but now, even without AV in his way........something seems amiss. Could AV have been right? Please tell me no.

I am starting to lose patience with Buch, yeah I am pissed and even more disappointed.

Hope I'm not jinxing this, but here goes. In the past when "I have HAD IT" with a player.....said player all of a sudden plays the way they should. We will see.

Our excitement this year comes in the form of the youngins. Buch is STILL in that category......but needs to be somewhat of a leader of that youngins class, I think it's imperative for him to succeed, especially for Filip.

3 teams surprising early. Canucks, Canadiens and even BlackHawks. 3 teams we thought we may be vying for position in sweepstakes. I know it's early and plenty of time for all of the above to lose.....I am liking what I've witnessed thus far, they're keeping it interesting with one eye, while the other is on the draft position.

Got our win out of the way last game.

Lose for Hughes!
Go away Staal. Oh and btw, do you REALLY THINK Hughes will be a one man show? Our next "savior"? Please, there are numerous players to be drafted that will help us, and I REFUSE to wish ill will on the team that I have rooted for, since I was 8.

Not sure how anyone could, especially this early in the season. LOSING promotes LOSING and dis-interest. Do we really want that?

The main issue with Nucks is lack of depth and their current coach have a style which is very taxing on their players - I still predict they will be a bottom team this year and their starting goalie is like a casino - you flip a coin and hope for the best. :)

About Rangers tonight. We have bad stats against them with AV in the last seasons, but they had Panarin and we have a different system so it`s hard to predict anything in this game. Hawks need to start to rebuild soon as well.

One man show? No, he won't have to be.

Do I think hes much better than anyone we have on our roster currently and would more or less instantly make us a bubble team that can make some noise? Absolutely.

It's not wishing Ill will, it's hoping for the best case to make this team a serious contender in the future. There is nothing to be gained by being anywhere between good enough not to land an impact player and just good enough to sneak in and get bitch slapped in the first round. If anything, thats wishing Ill will with out intending to.

There are only about 10 games I want this team to win this year, those fall against the Devils and Isles because f*** those guys.

Losing long term promotes those things that you're talking about. As others have said, the FO will never, ever let it get to that point. Losing for a year or 2? Not so much.

I need to start on the dinner, but before I`m gone until later tonight. Maybe the expectations on this forum is sometimes a bit high for talented players and that include Buch too in my view. Maybe he is one of the players who don`t thrive in a new system. And I was concerned about Zucc and he looked confused at times in the beginning. It`s a new journey for the players too and it might take a while to figure it out, or worst case scenario Buch don`t fit in the current system.

Would be really nice to snatch a W before landing in SoCal. 4-5-1 feels very different than 3-6-1 heading into LA.

Fast needs to go to the 4th line. Last time I prayed for him to get off our top line, it worked and KZZ worked out pretty well. So I shall do it again. Please, for the love of everything holy, remove Fast from the 2nd line and replace him with anyone not named Mcleod or Lettieri!

Guys, I hate to be the bearer of mediocre news, but this is not a bottom-feeding team. We'll be in the running for a wild card spot up to the TDL at least, and perhaps beyond that, depending on what moves Gorton makes.

If you're cheering for us to lose, you're probably going to be cheering for some early trades or minor injuries in a month or two. We're better than 3-5-1 suggests.

Not really.

We've lost games that we should have won (Buffalo and Calgary) and won games we should have lost (San Jose and Florida, arguably Colorado too.)

The record really reflects the way they team has played. They've played hard, but there is a reason why they haven't been able to knock out more wins in close games, they aren't good enough.

But they are also a team loaded with young players, with more young players on call. Most of the early success has been driven by the top line. Odds are pretty decent that this team gets better as the season goes on and those young players develop, rather than worse.

I agree, we will be in the playoff race with our new K-Z-Z elite line

I don't think thats true.

It's more likely that guys show their age (in both directions) as the season goes on. Plus the toughest parts of the schedule are in the future, we haven't really had a tough go of it so far.

I wouldn't say that they're loaded with young players either. Theres a decent mix here which is important, but they aren't as deep as most think they are. The top line driving things should be worrisome, those guys aren't going to always be on and they're an injury or 2 away from being completely dead.

Thats never the case with good teams.

No we’re not. We’re a Zibanejad injury away from not scoring at all.

Hank is white got to start and we’re still 3-5-1 and he’s got a 2.55 gaa.

This is not a good team. And will get worse at the deadline.
