Coming into tonight, they had six games in hand on us but were 13 points behind. That means they would still trail us even if they picked up all 12 points available there, and the odds of that happening are very low. At a certain point, the amount of games in hand you have vs. the point deficit becomes too much to play the "what if" game. Three points behind with two games in hand? Maybe. 13 behind with six in hand? Nope.

If they kept up their current points pace, you would expect them to get 7-8 points out of those 12.
