however, I feel the remaining games in Baduary will make or break this season. If they finish this month strong, I expect this team to be ready for next month. If they flounder, then Dreaduary is upon us. I know, in my heart, the former will take place.

I believe in this team. I've seen what they can do. Finish the Wings in regulation. No 3 point games against teams jockeying for a playoff spot.

I'm beginning to think he is one of those streaky scorers. I like the fact that he can create his own scoring chances with his big body, but the dude needs to get some chemistry with teammates that can get him the puck in the scoring areas. Playing with 2 guys who also have a shoot first mentality doesn't help, but fortunately Pirri can distribute if need be.

also, when breaking out from their own zone, the team needs more short quick passes vs stretch passes. Short passes encourages player movement and speed generation. it will also more carry ins vs dump ins.

In the offensive zone, there is no reason they should lose on any board battles. No reason.

Lastly, less puck holding and more quick passes and movement. Encourages player movement both sides which allows more lanes for passes and shots. Need to cut down on cross ice passes, that's not the only way to generate lanes. Quick passes, quick movements, and quick shots. Slap shots are not necessary unless it's a one timer or you have a gaping lane from the circles.

I like Ekblad on the point with Bjugstad /Boyes and Huberdeau/Kulikov on their respective forehand sides for one timer or quick shot opportunities (around the circles). Want Hayes/Kopecky on the crease for traffic with Barkov on the goal line for quick passes, quick shots, or to walk in and jam the net.
