Not to mention critcism wasn't due to youth it was was he was being directly compared to a Vezina calbier goaltender in Bishop at 22 years old. And now he looks just as good if not better than Bishop ever has. Insane progression.

And just in time for the SO, never expected he would be this good so soon.

Nice set up attempt by the Leafs, but ol reliable Steady Stralman there to break it up with a nice block...

Yep, yep...see my above post.... guy is vastly underrated as a complete defenseman.

Fun to think that he was drafted by the Leafs, he's one player they are still upset that they let him go.

Not to mention the Rangers didn't think he was worth keeping around either...they flat out let him walk via free agency.
Yzerman and his army of ninja scouts jumped all over that.

The Wonderful Wizard of Yz! Stråls was one of his best FA acquisitions.
