It felt like a typical TB win. Run up the score and coast for 35 minutes. We toyed with them.

They say teams coming off cup wins don't repeat because they get too comfortable. If we blow out Chicago 7 more times, we just might. That was easy, but maybe too easy of a win.

1st line and 2nd line looked great

Coleman and Gourde look rusty as hell, Goodrow was good though

4th line has zero chemistry and they play a lot less heavy without Paquette

Hedman, McDonagh and Cernak all looked good, Serg and Rutta made some bad turnovers, Foote looks very overwhelmed/nervous.

Looked like they weren't even trying and still dominated with ease, I feel bad for Subban and Chicago. Foote and Rutta were weak links, Sergachev had a rough one too but can't complain with a 5-1 win. Nice to see Vasy dialed in even though he didn't get much work. Joseph looked the best of the non "regulars".

Nice start to the season.

Yeah, it was nice to win but it was the fricking Hawks so...eh.

Joseph looked really good.
Was happy to see Palat score the first goal.
Point and Stamkos were making some magic out there.
Hedman looked as smooth and awesome as ever.

Sergy seemed to be coasting a bit.

Was once again underwhelmed by Foote. Was not impressed when I got to see him at dev camp a while back either. He worked a bunch of extra time with Barb Underhill. Not sure how much it stuck. Yes, it was his first game but he just didn't seem ready yet.

Wonder how much pressure he felt having his parents, especially his dad, right there watching every little mistake. Even the announcers were making a big deal about him being the Son of Adam Foote™.

I thought Volkov looked very engaged tonight, but I imagine he comes out for Johnson next game. I really liked Joseph with Killer and Celery, I have a feeling Cooper is going to put Johnson there though and move Jo down.
