Knew Tatar would break out this year... When I think of those in the trade forums who thought a Pysyk for Tatar trade was bad for us I just shake my head.

He's one of the most energetic skilled players I've seen in a while. He has a kinetic energy to his game.

The transition game was absolutely horrendous tonight. Rarely made passes to exit our zone. There were so many times where they just threw the puck away/chipped it out of the zone instead of trying to make a pass, where Detroit would simply retrieve it, come back in, and continue domination. It shows in the manifestation of no offensive pressure. Of course, this needs to be done when there's sustained pressure and a change is needed...but it was occurring far too often.

These two teams really are polar opposites, it showed
