Boyle was good last year, but it shouldn't be surprising that he's taking a step back. He's nearly 40.

Boyle was average at best last year. He's likely going to be average at best again this year. I don't mind Boyle and don't want him gone, but the fawning over him in the offseason was sort of lulzy. Especially after the hate he got during it at times. Sometimes from the same people.

I get the benefits he brings but they shouldnt mask a pathetic defender from the his blue line down.

Agreed. I don't mind Boyle. But it must be understood that he's brutal in the d-zone at this point in his career.

It looked alright from a distance. Once you see it on the replay, though . . .

As someone who hates Doc, I can't fault him TOO much for that.

The shot was right in his chest, he barely had to do anything, it was a bad play by Moore there. Eddie O made a great point.

Hey, at least Yandle-Klein, Stepan's line, and our 4th line haven't sucked this game. 3rd line started off hot, but they've simmered down in the second period.

And for the love of Christ, something needs to be done about McD-G and Staal-Boyle. They've looked AWFUL.

Ugly period. Rangers cannot handle Chicago's puck movement, their coverages are all over the place, and there's not much of a forecheck.
