I give credit to Miles Wood and his line(can't select all of them) because they started playing the way they did at the start of the season.

And I refuse to give credit to Palms for just being there when the puck touched him.

That was Pavel's goal and no one can change my mind on that.

Pavel is really proving me wrong every game now. (and I couldn't be happier)

Wedge, of course, gets the top marks because he basically stood on his head (when it counted) which is more than we expected.

1-0 shutouts don't happen often in today's NHL.

And this win was MUCH MUCH needed for the Psyche of the young players.

Hmm put Murray back in the line up and we win...coincidence? I think not.

I was literally going to type that.

Butcher out , Murray in, and we kinda back on track. Butcher was out for a lot of those early games and Murray was looking good in early season (minus a few games right before his scratch started where he had one or two noticable defense mis-reads.)

Not saying Butcher IS the problem, but it is a keen observation whether or not it is really correlated....

We have just two guys that seem to be able to semi-consistently create offensive opportunities out of nothing:
1) Jack Hughes
2) Miles Wood

They haven't cashed much lately though...

Also, the fact that the Devils actually killed off Penalties WITHOUT GIVING UP A GOAL!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

It's a miracle.

Indeeed. I can't believe the PK pulled off both those "scripted to be back-breaker, 3rd period PPs". It also saved the hell out of Maltsev's bacon, which, i didn't think was so bad of a penalty, but so glad team came through with that...

Certainly helped. But defense as a whole looks better when the forwards are playing back to the goal line. Which they did all game.

Does this mean the Rangers are that much better than Boston?

Curious as to what NYR did for two games to basically make the Devils appear feckless (particularly their forwards).

Hughes should being doing more on the power play but there’s all sorts of things wrong with the power play. Once that gets functional he’ll get more points there. It basically ran through Goose last year and I don’t know how it’s even supposed to be working now.

Sorry, but I want Subban to go at the deadline.

He is a stick-tapping puck hog at the point. He wastes so many shots. He is part of the reason we are in 30th place. Even the NBCSN announcer questioned why Subban would take a 1-timer that high in the slot without any screen or a player to help tip it in, stating the chances of scoring are next to nothing.

I know the PP has sucked no matter who they’re playing, but I can see why Boston has the #1 PK. Just nothing doing whatsoever on any of them today.

We wouldn’t get anything for him and would actually most likely have to give up a pick or something with him. His contract is too big.
