Three points:

1. With 4 seconds to go I wasn’t sure who would get the last of 3 stars. What a save by Hank!

2. I hope Kreider is watching. Maybe a way for him to improve his offensive game is by getting better on defense. Last few games from Nash and Grabner kind of makes it obvious.

3. If you didn’t watch the 3rd period you missed a pretty memorable entertaining hockey

So our second win in a row, second game in a row I missed due to work. I won’t watch any more guys, sorry.

Seriously though, it’s nice to see the team put some Ws up and hard to separate my feelings about the hockey I’ve watched from my attitude towards the results of games I didn’t watch. I saw half the Flyers game and thought we were opportunistic against a bad goalie but not A LOT better than we’ve looked in other recent games. How’d we look tonight?

And everyone has been blaming AV...

Finally found the culprit.

Holland, Fast, and Lettieri all played more than him...

I'm getting tired of AV splitting the line time so evenly in order to "balance the roster".... stop overthinking the f***ing team, player your best guys the most. Nobody does this shit, this "I'll pair my worst guys with my best guys to mitigate the effects"... or the "I'll overthink the matchups and therefore shelter my better offensive guys"...

No dude, just f***ing play the best guys the most. Stop with these constant "line matching" techniques. When you put that much thought into the lines, you end up hurting them...

In no way should Lettieri be getting more time than buchnevich... and if the reason is because "buchnevich is an offensive specialist and lettieri is a 200 foot bottom 6 player", then we're back to square one with this asshole--the same asshole who played glass over countless over players because "we know what were getting from him"

I think that Buch was not hurt terribly by his layoff. I think he benefitted, and the team with him.
Think what you will. I think Buchnevich is one of the most skilled and exciting players I have seen in quite some time with the Rangers. If anything, I think the Rangers organization are handling him quite well.
Look at how lethal he has been the last couple of games. His level of play was not the same a couple of weeks ago. Any player at this stage will have some dips and some plateaus. He looks great.

Thats bull****. I said it during the game they better give that assist to him.
HUH? They gave assist to mcdonagh?

i saw it right on the 1st replay. McD deflected the shot before it got to nash.

Here's the play

Looks like McDonagh tips Holden's shot before it reaches Lehner

McD deflected the shot right before it got to Nash. It is clear on the replay.

He did. You can clearly see it on the replay.

Yes, but in Russia, the assist would have been awarded to Buch after McD tipped removing Buch from the sequence of goal point awards because ...

Av gonna put him back on the fourth line because of it

Russia. Need I say more?

He's always smiling though.

Maybe it's all just a bunch of conjecture and projection, and he's having a great time learning the Western style while getting to play for the Rangers.

Who knows?

Funny how Buchnevich starts producing again when playing with decent hockey players.

I'm already looking forward to his next demotion/benching for *reasons*

Buch stopped producing when he was playing with decent hockey players. THEN he got demoted. When he was allowed back up again, he starts producing again.

AV has done this with several players with success in the past. I just don't see the problem with doghousing players for poor performance, then give them a second chance and let them take it.

This coach makes hockey no fun. Or less fun.

What a transformation happened to Nash after the bye week! In the game vs. the Isles he passed superbly to Hayes. In the game vs. Philadelphia he scored twice. Yesterday he took part in three goals. He scored twice again and stole puck in the Sabres' zone to organize the winning goal.

I wish we could either truly get our shit together or just kind of fall off. The way we're hanging around the periphery of the playoff race makes me nervous about how we'll handle the deadline.

I feel like I'm watching my Jets or Mets, where we're good enough to be decent but not good enough to be great. And then we'll end up doing something to make us slightly better rather than restocking for next season and beyond.

I'm hoping they're out of playoff position at the deadline, so they sell, but then turn it around and make the postseason.

But I still have hope that Gordon will do the smart thing and try to move Nash (And Grabs if they can't re-sign him) no matter where they are in the standings.

I understand concerns but I don't get a sense that E. Staal type of deal would be in consideration, i.e. the only way a veteran would be coming back is if the Rangers move ours with a longer term / bigger salary. Otherwise, it should be vets for youngsters, prospects or picks as most of us are expecting.

To this point, with Lias joining Hartford there is a likely possibility that he'll be called up around TD to fill in a vacated spot (via a trade). Though, if we are honest there's been a vacated spot at center for the whole season.

What's funny is if we beat the Avs, we'd jump the Jackets and be back in a divisional spot lol

With Shattenkirk and Kreider out long term, they definitely should be selling.
