And how is Crosby's commitment to the defensive zone compared to Eichel's? How is Crosby's battle for the puck compared to Eichel's? I think we can somewhat overlook the disappointing statistics if Eichel was playing in his own end like a soon to be $10 million/yr player.
Unfortunately, he's not. He's lacking in all 3 zones, he's lacking in effort, he's lacking in most aspects of hockey this season. The attitude is not something new. The lack of awareness is not something new. THAT is the alarming part about giving him that new contract. If he didn't sign that new contract, he's most likely not getting that contract. Buffalo took the chance Eichel he would step up, and they are looking like they gambled wrong.
You guys are nuts. He is here for offense. You acquired ROR and Larsson for these other aspects. ROR is like a -75 or something this year, and Larsson probably should go play in Sweden. Is Malkkn, or Pat Kane, or Tyler Seguin superstar defensive players? Obviously not. He just needs to score more.
