Wanting to re-sign komisarek to 5 million. What was i thinking..... :( Good thing i am not at the helm.

to be fair, many, many, many of us wanted this too. I was one of those. I guess it's a good thing we weren't GM eh :p

Along with wanting Komisarek re-signing at 4.5 per year.

I was also okay with the Kaberle trade.

I hated Kovalev and wanted him gone after that infamous loss to the Leafs the last game of the year. He was obviously huge the next year.

I wanted Higgins as a captain. But I still always maintained he would be a great 2nd or 3rd line player.

I think I wanted Plekanec out of Montreal in 2009 more than I wanted Gomez out last year.

I also thought the Gomez deal was a steal for us and that McDonah was useless.

As was ready to trade Pacioretty a few years ago.:shakehead

And now he's my favorite player...

I also didn't want to trade Halak.

I remember wanting it to happen so bad too.

What was the expected deal for him already ? Weren't we giving up Price and Pleks in the process ? Not quite sure.

Plekanec, Higgins, Gorges, Subban + a 1st rounder pick or even two was the rumor in January 2009. Then TB's wacky owners kiboshed it after leaking it to see what the reaction would be.

:help::help::help::help::help::help:

Plekanec has been as good as Vinny since then.

Was thrilled about the FA signings in 2009.
Thought we traded Halak too early.
Was really high on Pouliot, didn't like letting him go.
Didn't want to let Souray, Wiz and Moore walk.
Didn't want to trade AK. A part of me still secretly thinks he could have been a useful player on the Habs this year. No excuses. :help:

Maybe I just have a hard time parting with players?

I'll admit to wanting Halak over Price

Price has proven to be much more of a workhorse thus far. Glad we kept him rather than Halak at this point.

Ditto on Poulet and AK.

I still don't think AK was a good decision though. IMO we could use him instead of freaking GIO

I always thought that this would have been a great second line for us:

S.Kost - Grabo - A.K46

But now, I share the philosophy of Marc Bergevin; Great attitude / team player --> FIRST. Skills come second.

Also, this line would have probably been very bad in his own end and very inconsistent offensively.

_____

+ I was convinced that Chris Higgins was going to become a solid first liner with 30+ goals per season.

Hawk fan but since Blunden is a Hab... was really excited when MB was drafted, thinking he was the next big power forward to don the Hawks jersey and really expected him to be a force.

Suffered an injury and never did develop into what I expected.

I wanted to ship Plekanec out of town in 2008-2009, I was so wrong :shakehead.

Then again at that time I wanted Hanzal for him, so that wasn't that bad.
