Ya see, the thing is... I think that Rossi is the 2nd best player in this draft and is only being considered lesser due to his size. The game is changing and there is more room for the Joe Sakic's of the game today. Meh.

In watching rossi highlights, every play seems to be a masterpiece. I agree his vision and playmaking skill seems to be better than anyone else in the draft.

Jamie Drysdale
Tim Stutzle
Marco Rossi
Lucas Raymond
Alexander Holtz
Cole Perfetti
Anton Lundell

Any one of Askarov/Gunler/Amirov/Mysak/Jarvis/Grans could go for tenth as they are all super close in my eyes (although Grans is a huge reach, I wouldn't think about taking him with the tenth pick. I just believe he's on the same tier as the other guys contending for 10th).

Edit: Wow, it's amazing how much my philosophy has changed since then.

Updated would be Alexis, Byfield, Raymond, Rossi, Stutzle, Drysdale, Perfetti, Holtz, Lundell and either Askarov/Sanderson. I'm still just as high on Drysdale but I believe in the forwards ahead of him more.

Still have Gunler/Amirov/Mysak/Jarvis in the next four spots with Bourque, Brisson and Mercer close by.

Grans has seen a drop to the 20s after I got through more tape. The analytics aren't as good as I expected either.

I know its only a top 10 and if I have to get rid of one guy its Lundell but I personally have him in that same tier as those other 5 players.

That is the order I would draft those players in each tier, I do believe the tiers are significant. In the third tier with Stutzle, Drysdale and Raymond i flip the order almost daily but i reverted back to the order that is the most common in my rankings.

Also after watching the 67's 20+ times live and reviewing video on them I dont know how someone can have Rossi in the top 10 and not have Quinn. They are very similar level of prospects. Both have temendous two way games, I personally watched Quinn just get better and better as the season wore on. He was flat out unstoppable and was the most noticable player on the ice more nights then not especially in the second half. I know some people think this year is an outlier but if you watched him in his rookie season on a consistent basis you saw the talent. He scored some incredible goals his first year. Just as the 67's added depth (Chiodo, Maksimovich) he was bumped down in the lineup to the 4th line and no pp time. Either way this years top 11 is incredible any team drafting is going to get a player.

Take the USA and head North.
Askarov has a much higher ceiling in the draft, imo. Comparing him to Price, and seeing how the first overall isn't on the same level as the 2015 and 2016 top picks, then that's how I formed my opinion.

We;ll see in a few years. Ha.

Honestly I don’t think any team would be dumb for taking him in the Top 5, he’s that good of a goaltender, definitely has Vasilevsky potential.
