Always had a soft spot for the Jets since the Selanne days. This is a sexy lineup. Hope you guys can snag a wildcard and take that next step. Go get it!!

Couple questions, what will Laine's stat line look like this year and what will Trouba's contract be? (term and AAV)

28 goals. 32 assists

7 years 40 million

Trouba will not sign for 4.6/8

I think Laine will play the whole season in the NHL. I'd be happy with 25-30 goals, 20ish assists. 50 point mark. Can't speak for any other fans, but I would consider that a success. A poster in the Jets forum has beaten the +/- stat out of me so I won't guess on that. I expect few penalties. More than 18 PIM I'd be surprised, at least 8-10 PPG. Laine will probably start on the second line and I don't have faith in Jets management to start the roster as Ducky has it, but it does look pretty good.

The ave rumor mill for Trouba's contract seems to be 6 years and a varying degree of opinion on dollar amount. I think 6 years x 4.6/4.8 is fair, others think I'm insane. With Overhardt as Trouba's agent, it's a guess on how this turns out. It could end up being a bridge.

I'll be shocked if Trouba signs a 6 year deal in the 4.6/4.8 neighborhood, I think he gets a 6 year deal in the $5.5 million range at least.

For the Devils:

Taylor Hall-Adam Henrique-Beau Bennett
Mike Cammalleri-Travis Zajac-Kyle Palmieri
Reid Boucher-Pavel Zacha-Devante Smith Pelley
Jacob Josefson-Vern Fiddler-Sergey Kalinin

Joseph Blandisi, John Quenneville

Andy Greene-Damon Severson
John Moore-Ben Lovejoy
Jon Merrill-Steven Santini

Vojtech Mozik, Brandon Gormley

Cory Schneider
Keith Kinkaid

Scott Wedgewood

I still think we need a right winger and a defenseman.

Laine will get lots of points on the PP & be somewhere in the top 6 (centered by either Scheifele or Little). With that usage I give him at least 20 goals, 20 assists; probably more.

Trouba deal will happen before season starts but maybe not before World Cup or TC. I'm saying somewhere around 5.5 x 7 (or 8 years)

Interesting to see than Kane is still projected as a first liner. Is that due to good chemistry playing with RoR because I thought the feeling was that he was a dang good third liner but stunk playing with skilled players

If Greening wasn't making 2.65mil this season, I wouldn't have minded if the Flyers put a claim in on Greening before the season starts if Colin ended up on waivers, and if the Flyers end up losing Weal on waivers, but seeing that Greening is making 2.65mil for this season I wouldn't think the Flyers would put a claim in on Colin Greening, unless Greening spends most of the season buried in the AHL in Lehigh.

Colin Greening played his ass off towards the end of last season for Toronto just to stay on their roster.
If Greening wasn't making over 2mil for the season it would be a different story but he is so Greening will probably end up with the Marlies if no one claims him, that's if Greening ended up on waivers in the first place.

In my opinion he is definitely a solid top 6 winger. His forecheck is game changing at times and creates space and opportunities for his linemates. His finish/hands are a bit below average, but he overall game has enough skill to play a top 6 roll well.

Is Reinharts move to the wing permanent or just a rookie thing?

A luxury of having ROR and Eichel at center. Samson really does play excellent at either position and always makes his linemates better. I see him staying at wing for the near future.
