I'm all in on Wayne Simmonds. If I'm not mistaken, he almost came here a few years ago. Good sign.
He is done and next to useless.

Seems like a thread about what the 4th line should be may not be of interest to you thenIt’s the guys at the top and D that concern me. Not 4th line. Doesn’t matter if the drivers can’t get out of 2nd gear come playoffs.
He said he's feeling healthy and healed. I'd take a chance on him on a cheap contract. He is done and next to useless.

I personally don't see many current Leafs that suit what our 4th line should be.
UFA wingers - Wayne Simmonds, Zemgus Girgensons, Matt Martin, Tyler Pitlick, Riley Sheahan
UFA centres - Brad Richardson, Nate Thompson, Tomas Nosek
This is incorrect. The correct answer is the cheapest ones possible.
I think he could be utilized in a limited roll, like being on a 8-10min 4th line. With Engvall being speedy and somewhat tenacious on the forecheck, a good passer in Spezza, and Simmonds able to crash and bang, could be a decent ex all-star 4th line.
This is incorrect.
Nate and Martin would be a nice addition to the fourth.
Simmonds would become "a bad signing" before long
