Uber / Lyft can also be difficult to find in some spots. In the bigger cities it should not be an issue, although pricing can still be surprisingly high. I travel to Atlanta for business regularly and the cost from the airport to hotel near the office (twice, there and then back) would be about the same price as renting a car for a few days. It's insane.
