I like this 4th line better than BMW

I even liked it with Lazar better than BMW

I still think Bastian is good, but like Blackwood (who sucks anyway) guys shouldn't get their spot back just because they're healthy, when the guys replacing them have looked to be upgrades.

That specifically goes for Wood.

Dress rehearsal for the playoffs?

That does make sense. It would have looked pretty cool if it was full during the opening and everyone did it. I like the idea much more than giving out those plastic blinking bracelets that are just gonna be tossed in the trash afterwards.

For all intents and purposes, we are already in the playoffs.

I can't remember the last time a 98 point team missed the playoffs.

I know all of the playoff teams last year in the East had at least 100 points, but the most points a non-playoff team in the East had were the Islanders with 84 points.

Last year it was basically the all the playoff teams were REALLY good and all the non-playoff teams were basically 500 and under.

Florida missed with 96 points in the Taylor Hall MVP year and we finished just a point ahead of them.

If you remember, we clinched in game 81 after we won that and we sat a few guys in the season finale and Florida wound up playing Boston in their season finale, who were sitting a lot of guys and Florida won that game, but were already eliminated.

17-18 Florida was pretty damn close, I think they had 97.

EDIT: Nvm, you said it in the rest of your post, I got quick reply fingers.

Sure it'd sting, but it's part of the process for a young team. There's also something to be said about most of these guys having their first playoff experience against a rival. Start off hot.

Also, the Rangers come into this series with way more pressure. They have an older core and are way more established and experienced. If we lose to them? It'd almost be normal and par for the course in the learning process.

If they lose to us, a young team that has just turned the corner, after all their moves and with their experience? It would be an insanely huge blow.
They say be careful what you wish for, right? We haven’t seen the Rangers since they added Kane and Tarasenko and got deeper with finishing talent. Florida is hot. Pitt still has Crosby and Malkin and a core who won 2 cups. The Isles have a monster top defense pair, playoff experience and a club that went to the conference finals two out of the last three years. It’s going to be a tough opening series no matter whom we face. Anything can happen in a short series.

Yeah on the one hand I don’t care about matchups cause of all you said. On the other it’d be a shame if our second playoff appearance in ten years got overshadowed by, and ended because of the bright light jackwagons. We deserve to have a 100% rocking atmosphere for our return to the postseason, not a 60-40 hodgepodge

So either we avoid them round 1 or we have to beat them so we can having a 100% rocking building in round 2

We went 3-2-2 in our 8 game in 11 night death stretch. One of the wins was over Montreal, but this stretch was pointed out long in advance as being a really brutal stretch in the schedule, both because of so many games in so few nights and because of the quality of opponents.

Montreal was really the only bottom feeder in this stretch and we also had Carolina, Tampa x3 and Minnesota who are near the top of the West.

Have a couple of little breaks here. Now until Friday and then Monday night to Thursday night next week. That should help.

And all of Colorado, Toronto, Vegas, and Washington in the previous two weeks.

March was brutal schedule wise and we did well overall

The 30th will be a good barometer of what the playoffs will look like. I think Devils fans will show up in the playoffs, I also wouldn't be surprised if the Devils did that 2012 ECF ticket thing they did.

Not even slightly impressed with Minnesota. This should have been an easy win but that’s the way it goes sometimes

Honestly, me neither. Their goalie was f***ing awesome though. We were the better team and created the most tonight.

Now that the postseason is all but a guarantee, I just want to see consistent efforts. These should result in W's most of the time.

I don't think it will tbh, in fact I think it may scare the marketing team shitless in regards to how they handle ticket sales if it's still a likely first-round series. We're not above profiting from regular season games when the team will have clinched a playoff berth already by then.

Watching live, it looked to me like Jack was intentionally looking to pass more frequently than what he was doing pre-injury. His shot also seemed relatively weak. Very suspicious.

He still had 10 shots though right? Maybe he looked first but still took the shot anyways. Might be in his own head.

Was it true what someone said a while back that he broke up with a girlfriend? Someone hook this guy up if so! lol
